It's Thanksgiving week, and if you're a business owner, this time of year can feel complicated.

You're grateful for how far you've come... but also aware of how far you still want to go.

You're thankful for the clients you've served, but you may be wondering why there aren't more of them yet.

You're proud of what you've built... but your website still feels like it's not quite there.

I get it. I've been there too.

But here's what I've learned after years of working with wellness professionals, coaches, and service providers who are building meaningful businesses…

Gratitude and growth aren't opposites. They're partners.

And this Thanksgiving, I invite you to consider your website, and your business, through the lens of gratitude.

Being Grateful For Business Growth Means Honoring Where You Are

One of the most beautiful things about working with heart-centered entrepreneurs is witnessing your dedication to your craft and your clients.

You show up. You care deeply. You're constantly learning and evolving.

But sometimes, that same dedication becomes self-criticism. You focus on what's not done instead of celebrating what is done.

If that resonates, I want to offer you a gentle reframe…

Every step you've taken to build your business including the messy, imperfect ones is worthy of gratitude.

That DIY website you're embarrassed about? It got you started.

That logo you created in Canva at 2 am? It represented your courage to begin.

That first client who found you through word of mouth? They believed in you before your website was "perfect."

Being grateful for business growth doesn't mean settling. It means acknowledging the journey while still moving forward.

What Your Website Has To Do With Thanksgiving

Here's something I tell my clients all the time:

Your website isn't just a business tool. It's an act of generosity.

Think about it. When you build a website that clearly communicates who you help and how you help them, you're making it easier for people to find you. You're removing barriers. You're extending an invitation.

That's a gift… not just to your business, but to the people who need your unique gifts.

When I work with clients through my Design Intensives, one of the most common things I hear is, "I didn't realize how much my hesitation to launch was actually keeping people from getting help."

They thought they were being responsible by waiting until everything was perfect. But really, they were withholding their gifts from the people who needed them most.

So this Thanksgiving, if you've been stuck on your website, I want to invite you to reframe it…

Launching your website (even imperfectly) is an act of gratitude for the gifts you've been given and the people you're meant to serve.

The Clients Who Are Grateful For You

I want you to think about someone you've helped.

Maybe it was a client whose life changed because of your work. Maybe it was a friend you supported through a hard season. Maybe it was a stranger who read something you wrote and felt less alone.

Now imagine if they had never found you. Imagine if your website had stayed in draft mode, or your messaging had been so unclear that they didn't realize you could help them.

They would have missed out. And so would you.

The people who need you are grateful when you make yourself easy to find.

Your ideal clients aren't looking for perfection. They're looking for a connection. They're looking for someone who understands their struggle and can guide them toward hope.

When you show up online with clarity and authenticity—when your website reflects who you really are and how you really help—you give them the gift of finding you.

That's something to be grateful for.

What I'm Grateful For This Year

Since this is a week of reflection, I want to share what I'm grateful for in my own business:

I'm grateful for every client who trusted me to bring their vision to life even when they were scared to be visible.

I'm grateful for the women who showed up vulnerable and honest in our Brand & Website Breakthrough Sessions and Consult Calls, sharing their struggles and their dreams.

I'm grateful for the wellness professionals, coaches and service providers I've had the honor to serve because your work is so deeply important, and helping you reach more people fills my cup.

I'm grateful for the evolution of my own business, the lessons learned, the pivots made, the clarity gained.

And I'm grateful for YOU, reading this right now, wherever you are in your journey.

An Invitation For Thanksgiving Week

This week, I want to invite you to do two things…

1. Celebrate what you've already built: Make a list of every step you've taken to grow your business this year… big and small. Launching a website. Booking your first client. Redesigning your logo. Writing your About page. Showing up on social media. All of it counts.

2. Take one step forward from gratitude: What's one thing you could do this week that would make it easier for your ideal clients to find you? Update your homepage headline? Add a testimonial? Finally, book that consult call about your website?

Let gratitude be the fuel, not the brake.

Let's open the conversation:

What's one thing about your business journey this year that you're truly grateful for… even if it was hard or messy? I’d love to know!

P.S. If you're ready to make 2026 the year your website finally reflects the incredible work you do, my free guide "4 Free Layouts That Turn Clicks Into Clients" is the perfect place to start. Happy Thanksgiving from my heart to yours. Thank you for being here, for doing the work that matters, and for having the courage to share your gifts with the world.
